Cookies policy

Last updated 23 May 2026.

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on digicap.eu, why they are used, and how you can control them. It complements the Privacy policy, which describes how personal data is handled more generally.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can remember information between pages or visits — for example, that you have already dismissed a banner, or which language you prefer. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others help us measure how the site is used. We also treat any equivalent technology (such as browser local storage) under the same rules.

Categories of cookies on this site

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They do not store any information that identifies you personally. They are set by WordPress and by the LiteSpeed cache layer to deliver pages reliably and to keep any logged-in editorial session secure.

Preferences

A single cookie is used to remember the choices you make in the cookie banner, so that we do not ask you again on every page. Without it, the banner would reappear at each visit.

Analytics

We use Matomo, self-hosted on the same server as this website, to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. IP addresses are anonymised before storage, no data is shared with third parties, and Matomo is configured not to track you across other websites. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner.

Marketing

This site does not use marketing, advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

Specific cookies in use

The exact cookie names, providers and durations will be confirmed once our consent management tool completes its first automated scan of the live site. The list below will be updated to reflect that scan.

  • WordPress session / LiteSpeed cache — strictly necessary — session, up to a few hours. [TO CONFIRM EXACT NAMES once Complianz scan runs.]
  • Consent record — preferences — up to 12 months. [TO CONFIRM EXACT NAME once Complianz scan runs.]
  • Matomo (_pk_*) — analytics — up to 13 months, only after consent. [TO CONFIRM EXACT NAMES once Complianz scan runs.]

How to give, refuse or withdraw consent

When you visit the site for the first time, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. You can accept all, refuse all, or choose by category. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot work without them.

You can change your mind at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page; this re-opens the banner with your current choices. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings — every modern browser lets you view, block or delete cookies on a per-site basis.
